The platform todetect.
Your buyers don't search anymore. They ask. Traceten catches the visits ChatGPT, Claude, and Perplexity send you, names the assistant behind each one, and shows you exactly what it spent.
Everything you need to
own AI traffic.
Focused primitives for detecting, attributing, and auditing the visits assistants send you.
Referrer-less detection
Assistants strip the referrer on most clicks, so their visitors hide inside “Direct”. Traceten classifies every visit at the edge and names the assistant behind it, with a confidence score, not a guess.
Three steps. Total visibility.
Every surface, named. Every dollar, traced.
A walkthrough of the attribution feed your dashboard opens to: each visit named to the assistant that sent it, and matched to the revenue it produced.
Numbers you can audit.
Engineering budgets enforced in CI — not usage statistics.
Works where you already sell.
One snippet for the storefront, native hooks for the money. No pipeline to build.
Attribution without surveillance.
The trade between your visibility and your customers' privacy never comes up. We designed it out.
IPs hashed on arrival
Salted at the edge. The raw address never touches storage, logs, or disk.
No PII by default
Email, name, phone. Never collected. There is nothing to leak.
First-party only
One cookie, your domain. No cross-site tracking, no identity graph.
Deletion built in
Erasure API from day one. Compliance by architecture, not paperwork.
Boring to install. Hard to build.
The snippet is vanilla TypeScript with zero dependencies and a CI gate on its size. The hard part, the detection engine, is our problem, not yours.
<10KB gzipped
Zero dependencies. Size is a CI gate, not a goal.
Never blocks render
All work deferred; failure is always silent.
First-party only
One cookie, your domain, nothing cross-site.
Node · Python · Go
Server SDKs when a snippet isn't enough.
Priced like a tool, not a tax.
Start free on one site. Every plan gets the full detection engine and revenue attribution. You only pay for volume.

The things people ask first
Straight answers about what Traceten detects, what it cannot, and how it handles your visitors' data.
Read the docsBy using every other signal the request carries. Some assistants tag outbound links with campaign parameters, which is near-conclusive. Beyond that, a handoff from an assistant's in-app browser has a different shape to an ordinary browser navigation, and agent traffic increasingly carries a verifiable cryptographic signature. Every classification records a confidence score and the method behind it.
No. GA4 assigns source from the referrer and campaign parameters, so AI visits with neither land in Direct — and its default model then credits that conversion to an earlier channel. Traceten collects signals GA4 does not, scores detection probabilistically, and joins the result to real Stripe and Shopify orders.
No. Under 10KB gzipped, runs in idle time, never blocks rendering, and fails silently if anything goes wrong. The size ceiling is enforced in CI, so it cannot drift.
No personal data by default. IP addresses are hashed at ingestion with a per-site salt, so the raw address never reaches storage or logs. Identifiers are first-party, opaque, and scoped to your site — no cross-site tracking, no profile enrichment.
ChatGPT, Claude, Perplexity, Gemini and Copilot, plus a longer tail of smaller assistants and AI search surfaces. Each hands off traffic differently, so coverage is reported as confidence per source rather than a flat number.
No. Connect the account over OAuth and Traceten reads order webhooks from there. Your checkout, products and payment flow are untouched, and tokens are encrypted at rest.
Detection starts with the first visit after install. Revenue attribution needs a completed order, so expect the first fortnight to understate the channel — AI discovery usually precedes a purchase by days or weeks.
Traceten is built for it by architecture rather than configuration: IP addresses are hashed at ingestion, cookies are first-party only, and no identity is resolved across sites. Data deletion and per-account EU data residency are launch requirements, and a DPA is available before you ask. Compliance also depends on how you deploy it, so we describe what the system does rather than certify your outcome.
