Questions
01What counts as an event?
Any measurement your site sends us: pageviews, plus the custom events and goals you define. They all count on one meter. AI crawler hits are metered separately.
02What is an AI crawl hit?
One request from an AI crawler, such as GPTBot or ClaudeBot, reported by the @traceten/ai-crawl middleware on your server. Crawl hits have their own allowance and never count against your events.
03What happens when I reach my limit?
Events past your allowance are rejected unless you turn on overage. On Growth and Pro, AI crawls keep counting past the allowance, without reverse-DNS verification or per-visit detail. On Starter, crawl recording pauses until the allowance resets.
04How does overage work?
Overage is off until you turn it on, separately for events and AI crawl hits. Growth: $0.000085 per event and $0.00004 per AI crawl hit. Pro: $0.00007 per event and $0.000035 per AI crawl hit. Starter has no overage.
05What is AI visibility, and why is it in beta?
AI visibility runs prompts you choose on Perplexity and Google AI Overviews and reports whether the answers mention your brand. Starter includes 1, Growth 5 and Pro 20 prompts. Claude and ChatGPT, measured through each vendor's API, are an add-on: $15 a month on Growth and $89 a month on Pro. It is in beta.
06Do higher plans get more throughput?
Yes, for event ingestion: Growth has 10x and Pro has 100x Starter's headroom. The REST API, MCP server and webhooks have the same limits on every plan.
07Can I change plans?
Yes. An upgrade applies as soon as your payment is confirmed, usually within a minute, and starts a new billing period that day: you pay the new plan's price, less credit for unused time on your old plan. Downgrades take effect at the end of your billing period.
08How do seats work?
A seat is one member of your team's organization. Starter includes 1, Growth 5 and Pro 20.
09Can I cancel?
Yes. An admin can cancel any time from the billing page. Your paid plan runs to the end of the billing period, then the account moves to Starter. You can resume before then. Subscription fees are not refunded.
10How long do you keep my data?
2 years, on every plan. You can delete a visitor's data at any time through the deletion API.
