What does adding Traceten to Webflow give you?
One script tag in Webflow's Head Code shows which AI assistants send visitors to your published site, and which pages they land on. Every visit carries the assistant's name, a confidence score and the method that named it. The snippet loads async and stays under 10 KB gzipped.
What will you see in Traceten?
- AI referral visits
- Visits from 25+ AI assistants, named from the referrer, UTM tags and user agent.
- Confidence and method
- Every visit carries a confidence score from 0 to 1 and the method that named its source.
- Engagement per page
- Scroll depth and active time for each page view, so you can see whether AI visitors read.
- First-party and hashed
- The snippet sets first-party cookies only, and IP addresses are hashed with HMAC-SHA-256 under a per-site derived key.
How do you install Traceten on Webflow?
- 01
Copy your tag

- 02
Paste it into Head Code
In Webflow, open Project Settings, then Custom Code, paste the tag into Head Code and save.
- 03
Publish and verify
Publish to your domain, open the live site, and watch the Verify step on the install page turn green.
Questions
01Why don't I see visits from the Webflow Designer preview?
Custom code runs only on the published site. Publish, then visit your live domain.
02Can I track only one Webflow page?
Yes. Paste the tag into that page's custom code in Page Settings instead of Project Settings.
03Can I use a separate key for the webflow.io staging domain?
Yes. Create a second Traceten site for staging and use its key there, with your production key on the custom domain.
04Does Traceten attribute Webflow Ecommerce orders?
Not by itself: the snippet measures visits, not purchases. To attribute orders, send them to the Payment API from your own server.
AI is already sending you buyers. See the receipts.
No calls, no credit card.
